Sitting of the Commitees

The Committees are expected to sit when the plenary and Parliament are not sitting. The meetings are held during week days from 14:00 hours to 18:00 hours and on any other days as may be determined by the members.

The meetings of the Committees are held in public unless the Committee decided to hold its deliberations in public.

Three Committees, namely the Citizenship, Judicial, Public Service held meetings from May 19 to 16th June, 2008. From 10th July, 2008 to 15th August, 2008, three other committees, namely, Democratic Governance, Local Government and Public Finance held their meetings and concluded their deliberations. All the six Committees are waiting to present their reports to the Conference for ratification and adoption.
